The grain alcohol simply gives a Blend a different character. In fact buy two or three cases of it for future enjoyment. The Clan MacGregor has a very reasonable Price/Quality ratio but it remains a quite thin on the palate in my opinion. Sometimes its not the quality of the whiskey at all, but the price point that the market demands. inver house vs clan macgregor. There is one draw back to that taste. A pity you didn't leave your name. In the battle of the smokier blended scotches, we have to give the nod to Dewars. I still prefer Canadian whisky overall (Windsor House is my fave and yes, Im a cheapskate), but Inver House will do. And good for you that you like McGregor. I did know that I was low on cash and was going to be facing a very bad day. I googled Alexander MacGregor & Co Ltd in Glasgow but nothing pops up. Greetings from California. Where would the likes of Mad Men have been without it? Secondly, you cannot really get anything that tastes worse than Highlands Mist for your everyday drinking Scotch. Lol. That might sound like a bad thing, but its really not in this case, as the sourness helps balance the sweet just a bit.
